Building better together for a healthier, stronger, and loving future.
Our vision is to develop better, more civil, and better-behaved people through fellowship and benevolent activities. As a result, we provide relief to the poor, distressed, and underprivileged. We seek to advance education for all. We seek to reduce neighborhood tensions. Timothy Community Group advocates eliminating barriers to discrimination and defending human and civil rights secured by law. We strive to combat community deterioration and curb juvenile delinquency.
Improve the Tulsa community
Strengthen the Tulsa community
Our mission is to strengthen the resilience of the Tulsa community through the fellowship of benevolent activities.
The name “Timothy” means HONOR, given and received.
Other attributes of the name have been STRENGTH and LOVE, which we feel are foundational to HONOR. With a biblical reference, we found ourselves drawn to the story of Timothy. We were compelled by how he was fashioned as an honorable man, who first gave honor before he was elevated to receive it. We believe this principle of sowing and reaping can restore communities.
Support the Tulsa Community
We support the Tulsa community with programs and resources targeted at improving the entire person; mind, body, and soul, which in turn impacts the entire community. Our approach extends beyond providing for individuals in the community; it prepares them to become providers. We collaborate with local and national organizations to optimize the available resources and reach. TCG understands that it is not just one area that needs attention, but many. We invest our time, talent, and treasures into individuals in the community, believing they, too, will become investors in the future.
“We believe that communities can be restored by developing effective leaders. An effective leader is someone who understands that they must first be an effective follower and a servant.”
— Twan Jones, Vice-Chairman
